Provides a disk for the installation of the ATA RAID Management Utility for use with supported Linux distributions on the ATA Version of the ML 330G2.

To update newer RPM packages of Spy, please consult the 
manual pages for RPM on how to update to new RPM packages. 

Spy must be unloaded to use FDISK to partition new drives on the IDE controller. You can do this by using the following steps. 

Spy ?stop 
fdisk /dev/sd* 
mkfs /dev/sd* 
mount /dev/sd* / 
Spy ?start  

 
インストール手順  

 

 
ローカル ドライブのディレクトリにSoftPaqをダウンロードし、そのディレクトリに移動してください。ダウンロードされたファイルは、SoftPaq 番号に基づくファイル名を持つ tgz ファイルです。  

 
そのドライブのディレクトリから以下のコマンドをタイプします。 

tar -zxvf sp19750.tgz 

ダウンロードしたファイルが展開されます。RPMファイルが現在のディレクトリに作成されます。  

 
RPM ファイルが作成されたら、手順1でダウンロードしたSoftPaqファイルは削除しても構いません。  

 
SoftPaqをフロッピーに解凍します。  

 
Spy-co-.rpm ファイルをダウンロードし、フロッピーにコピーします。  

 
フロッピーをマウントします(mount /mnt/floppy)。  

 
Spy-co-.rpm を任意のディレクトリにコピーします(cp /mnt/floppy/Spy-co-.rpm /root)。  

 
フロッピーをアンマウントします(umount /mnt/floppy)。  

 
内蔵 ATA RAID マネジメント ユーティリティをインストールする前に、Linux OSが、インストールされMegaIDE ドライバが正しく動作していることを確認してください。  

 
手順2でRPM(Spy-co-.rpm) をコピー/解凍したディレクトリに移動します。  

 
RPMを実行してファイルををインストールします。コマンド プロンプトで、rpm ?i Spy-co-.rpmを実行します。これにより以下のコンポーネントがインストールされます。 

/usr/sbin/Spy 
/usr/sbin/CheckSpy 
/usr/sbin/options 
/etc/rc.d/init.d/spy 
/usr/doc/Spy-2.5.5/README
